Norman Introduces Norman: A New Show On PodcastOne

Recently, Norman Pattiz announced a new podcast: “All of the Above,” which is hosted by Norman Lear. Lear, a multi-talented former writer and producer, is creating this podcast to cover a wide-range of topics rather than focus in on a narrow niche. The podcast features guests weekly, and early-on, Lear hosts Amy Poehler, Jerrod Carmichael, and Juli Louis-Dreyfus. The podcast debuted on May 1 and continues to release a new episode every Monday. Not surprisingly, Pattiz is thrilled to have Lear aboard, claiming to have “known and admired” Norman for a long time. Pattiz’ network benefits from the popular Lear, who challenges audiences to give him a try: “Whatever my age, I think of myself as your peer — whatever your age. Subscribe, and see if you don’t agree.

This show is the latest for Norman Pattiz’ succesful PodcastOne, an app and website which features a number of different podcasts, including shows hosted by a number of different people: Shaquille O’Neal, Larry King, and Jordan Harbinger to name several. Pattiz has 50 years of experience under his belt; before starting PodcastOne, Pattiz was the founder of Westwood One. While now retired from his role at Westwood, Pattiz’ leadership led Westwood to becoming America’s largest radio network in 1976. Pattiz has carried this success into PodcastOne, which is now further strengthened through the addition of Lear. His transition from traditional radio to internet radio was an interesting one, and in an interview, he discusses how a meeting with Kit Gray “struck” him with the idea that podcasting was capable of bringing Westwood One to the digital world.Learn more:¬†https://patch.com/california/across-ca/norman-pattiz-announces-positive-impact-podcast-advertising

Beyond entertainment, Pattiz has also contributed to broadcasting services within American government. He was appointed to serve on the Broadcasting Board of Governors, which oversaw several government broadcast stations such as Radio Free Europe, Middle East Broadcasting, and The Voice of America. Pattiz lifetime achievements have earned him a number of accolades, but perhaps most significant is his 2009 induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame. He also earned the Giants of Broadcasting award. Pattiz’ career is remarkable, and those looking to enter the realm of podcasting or radio themselves should take a look at his beliefs and philosophies for inspiration.
